This is for all of my fellow makers who are looking for something cool to make.
Feel free to contact me with any feedback or if you have questions about the making process. Thank you for your support and go make!

Compatibility & File formats Included:

- STP (can be used in various CAM software)
- DXF - Simplified 2D layout (does not include the sliding geometry)
- F3D (Fusion 360 project with created toolpaths for a Ф39cm clock, 15mm thick)

This design is ideal for Fusion 360, including the original F3D file for easy editing and toolpath generation.
The included STP file can also be imported into other CAM software that supports toolpath generation from 3D geometry, making it flexible for different CNC workflows.
The DXFs can be useful for quick 2D operations or visualizing the base shape.

Material & Size Recommendations

- 30cm, 39cm or 60cm in diameter and oak wood is what I have tested but scaling the models allows you to create any size you wish
* going below 30cm in diameter is too small and the walls will be fragile so I do not recommend smaller size
- I have included the F3D project with toolpaths for a 39cm clock (15mm thick)

Required Tools & Machine

I machined this one using my PrintNC DIY 2.2kw router. Any router big enough to fit the base should do.

Bits I used:
- 6mm flat endmill (for contours and pockets)
- 6mm ball endmill (for 60cm clock size ramps)
- 3mm ball endmill (for 30 and 39cm clock size ramps)

Clock mechanism - shaft should be long enough to fit a 12mm face (I use shaft length of 15mm). You can also order one from me - DIY Clock Mechanism Kit

Skill Level - Intermediate
You need to create several toolpaths, in my case I made 4 toolpaths and used 3 router bits. But if you are a complete beginner you can use the DXF file and cut the clock using 6mm flat endmill bit and still come up with almost the same design, only the slides of the walls will be missing as it will be a 2D contour cut.
