This is for all of my fellow makers who are looking for something cool to make. What you need is a laser cutter or cnc router, and some plywood or mdf or whatever you find fitting.

Ordering this file will allow you to download it instantly as a ZIP archive. The included file formats (SVG, DXF, and LightBurn) are compatible with popular laser software like LightBurn, LaserGRBL, RDWorks, xTool Creative Space (XCS) and more. No matter your setup, these files are ready for your laser cutter.

 

Included Files:

- SVG: Scalable Vector Graphics for universal compatibility
- DXF: Detailed CAD-compatible format for precise cutting
- LightBurn: Optimized for LightBurn users
- I have made two variants - for 3mm or 4mm material thickness. The 3mm variant consists of 4 layers, while the 4mm variant is made of 3 layers, this way keeping the total thickness of the clock at 12mm :)
- I have also included a version with a "6" instead of a line mark at six o'clock

 

Materials & Assembly:

Designed for 3mm plywood or MDF, 4 layers - can also be made using 4mm plywood or MDF, 3 layers.

Includes detailed instructions for assembly. This is what you need to make it:

- if you use 3mm plywood you'll need 4 sheets sized mininum 31x31cm (I use birch BB/BB)
- if you use 4mm plywood you'll need 3 sheets the same size
- CA glue and wood glue
- spray paint and spray wood finish (I use satin, not glossy finish)
- clock mechanism - shaft should be long enough to fit a 9mm face. I use mechanisms with total shaft length 11.5mm. You can also order one from me - DIY Clock Mechanism Kit
